With existing operations in Mexico – plant in Toluca – Texen acquired Mar-Lee in July 2008 and thus strengthened its international position. This American company posted 2008 revenues of $24 million with 72 employees. Mar Lee is located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and specializes in injection molding and production of plastic parts for the personal care (labels placed in the mold) and healthcare markets. Texen is realizing its objective: produce in the North American market so it can be more competitive in this market and expand its customer portfolio.
